Choosing Your Template
Your app's look comes from a template — a pre-designed layout that controls how the home screen is arranged, what fonts are used, and the overall mood. FaithMade offers six templates, each with a distinct personality.
Your content (sermons, groups, events, wording) never changes when you switch templates. Only the presentation changes.
The Six Templates
| Template | Personality | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Dark Media House | Bold, cinematic, high-contrast dark background | Churches with strong video production; contemporary or young-adult-focused congregations |
| Warm Editorial | Magazine-style layout, warm neutrals, readable type | Multi-generational churches that want something polished without feeling edgy |
| Gather | Friendly, approachable, community-forward | Community churches, neighborhood congregations, all-ages feel |
| Bold Type Tiles | Grid of large type-driven cards, punchy headlines | Churches that communicate through clear messaging and want a modern, graphic look |
| Reader | Clean, minimal, text-first layout | Congregations that emphasize teaching, study, or reading — content takes center stage |
| Soft Stone | Muted earth tones, organic feel, gentle hierarchy | Churches with a contemplative, traditional, or liturgical style |
How to Preview and Switch
- In your FaithMade dashboard, go to Church App → Design
- Each template appears as a live miniature card showing your real brand colors
- Click a card to select it
- Click Save
- Open the Preview tab (or refresh it if it's already open) to see your full app with the new template
You can switch as many times as you like. Nothing is permanent until your app is published, and even after launch you can update the template — members receive the new design on their next launch.
Colors Are Yours, Not the Demo's
Each template adapts to your church's brand palette, which comes from your website's design settings. The template screenshots in this guide use sample branding. Your app will use your church's own colors — which is exactly how it should work.
If your app colors look different from the demo screenshots, that's the system doing its job. See FAQ: Why is my app a different color than the demo screenshots? for more.
Switching Templates Never Touches Content
Sermons, groups, events, wording — all of it is safe when you switch templates. The template only controls layout and visual style. You can try every template without worrying about losing anything.
